The team behind cureVision
Over 12 million people worldwide suffer from chronic wounds - only half of them receive adequate care.
But: according to studies, over 50% of patients do not receive guideline- and phase-appropriate care (DAK study, cited, p.27). This begins with the analysis of the wound: the use of paper rulers (!) currently leads to inaccurate and subjective measurement results - reliable information is the key to a successful treatment decision.
Game changer in wound anamnesis
The two medical technology engineers Richard Fobo and Johannes Ruopp were not prepared to accept these shortcomings and developed an initial prototype of the cureVision system - a game changer in wound anamnesis, as it later turned out. Together with Kerstin von Diemar, they founded the company in 2021 and developed the technology to series production readiness.
MDR-approved & disinfectable system with 3D wound analysis
The Strascheg Center for Entrepreneurship, Angels4Health and EIT Health also recognized cureVision's immensepotential. In cooperation with private investors, they pledged their support to cureVision and have since accompanied the company on its mission: to improvethe treatment and quality of life of patients with chronic wounds.
cureVision on the road to success
In 2022, Entscheiderfabrik awarded cureVision® the German Startup and Digitalization Prize as the most innovative solution for processes in the healthcare industry.
In 2023, cureVision® also won the Health-i Award presented by Techniker Krankenkasse and Handelsblatt, the Digital Health Prize from Novartis and the Eugen Münch Prize for innovative healthcare from the Rhön Foundation.
Customers benefit from the constantly growing range of features
The next goal is already in focus: the team is currently working on using the built-in artificial intelligence to make a personalized comparison for each wound treatment to determine whether the selected treatment corresponds to the guideline for this individual wound. This can significantly improve treatment.
Patients, nursing staff and wound specialists benefit from cureVision:
"The time saving is really striking: if the patient has already been created in the system, I need a maximum of two minutes for the documentation. Previously, documentation took around 20 minutes on average."
"While the nurse is still caring for the patients on an outpatient basis, the purchasing department in the office already has the digital documentation and can order the required dressings directly. This ensures that our patients are cared for quickly."
